Well the end of August is here and with that brings some warmer weather and more racing.
Early August presented a few lovely days and a practice night at Picton kart track. What a great social practice night they put on once a month. Gave us a chance to get a few laps in the Redspeed Torini and Bethany got a few laps in her Arrow junior kart with SEK sealed Honda GX200.
The biggest news of August was the delivery of the first Tillotson 225RS 4 stroke race engine to Australia. We will review this in a dedicated story but what a great piece of engineering it seems to be. Actually it is like no other 4 stroke clone type motor ever seen. This is a genuine 225cc engine unlike the 212cc engines newly released onto the Australian market.
We have had plenty of packages roll in but mostly replenishing stock rather than new products. We had an order of Honda GX style gaskets and parts and with that came Inlet gaskets to suit the Torini engine and GX270 parts including carb repair kits with useful parts to service carbs.
We have OTK brake pads in transit along with OTK Mychron 5 steering wheel mounts, complete OTK bolts kits to freshen your kart, Birel and OTK skid plates, More sprocket protectors and 219 pitch chain breakers.
Fathers day will present the opportunity to test the Tillotson engine then pack in readiness for the trip to Griffith to compete in the NSW 4SS Thundersports series.
